Nach Wochen und Monaten meiner Inaktivität, habe ich mich entschieden, toendaCMS komplett sterben zu lassen. Ich habe sehr viel Zeit und Arbeit in dieses Projekt gesteckt, aber leider wurden die gewünschten Ziele nicht erreicht. Andere Projekte haben den Sprung geschafft (Wordpress, Mambo, Joomla, Typo3, etc.), toendaCMS blieb klein und ein Nischenprodukt. Da ich keine Lust mehr habe, meine ganze Zeit in ein eigentlich totes Projekt zu stecken, lasse ich es nun ruhen.
Wenn irgendjemand es übernehmen möchte, kann er es gerne tun.

Und damit verabschiede ich mich an dieser Stelle.

After weeks and months of my inactivity, i decided to let toendaCMS die completely. I have put a lot of time and effort into this project, but unfortunately were not achieved the desired goals. Other projects have made it (Wordpress, Mambo, Joomla, Typo3, etc.), toendaCMS remained small and niche product. Since I have no desire to put all my time in an otherwise dead project, I let it rest now.
If anyone wants to take it, he can do that.

And so I say goodbye at this point.

I can say, it's not death, currently. But i don't have enough time to do work on this project. Since over a year, i was to busy with many projects for my customers - and now, i'm on a new job in a new city with new topics (for me new, i've never worked for a financial company, so i've to learn some things).

But everyone who wants, can take charge of the project. The sourcecode is fully commited to the Google project.

We're happy to inform all fans of our Open-Source content management framework toendaCMS that we'va published the new version 2.
It's faster, smarter, bigger and more stable as all version before.

Bugfixes

• The DateTime button for the downloads in the download manager in the backend opens now a timecontrol for all downloads.
• Fixed many bugs on the MediaManager.
• Fixed the PDF generator.
• Fixed the tinyMCE IE bug.

Changes:

• DataContainer Classes changed to the correct PHP5-Class-Design.
• Deleted all PHP4 constuctors iun all classes.
• Massive cleanup of the source code, removed many deprecated functions, cleanup many PHP4 specific code.
• Better search page, replace the search functions into the search class.
• Guestbook config now as object and only loaded in the guestbook extension.
• Relocated all module configuration settings into the modules
• Enabled the tabPane for all extensions.

• Changed the license from GPL2 to GPL3.

 

New features:

• SEO format 3 (.html-format) has now the template variable.
• Language support for the guestbook, a texteditor for the guestbook.
• New Template Engine (toendaTemplate), following extension are now implemented:
  • News (frontpage entry, single view, comment entry)
  • Links (category title, link entry)
  • Guestbook (entry)
  • Imagegallery (album list table header, album list entry, imagelist for list view, imagelist for thumbnail view)
  • Download (table header, category entry, download entry)
  • Content
• Global Content datacontainer to get the id, title, subtitle, text and footnote of each content element.
• SEO format 4 (clean .html-format) is now available. Its cleanup the index.php name from the url.
• WikiSyntax (experimental)
• Loghandler to log all activities of all users (currently the login and logout).
• Added a sitemap generator extension.
• Finished the second level for the sidemenu (and also the third level in beta).
  

 

Today we have published the second betaversion of our Content Management System and Framework toendaCMS. It's the last beta publication before we finish the development on toendaCMS version 2.
This version includes many bugfixes and now a more flexible sidemenu with a third (and theoretically many more) submenu.
One bad bug (the tinyMCE editor does'nt runs on internet explorer) is also inside the package, we have fixed it today, but after publishing the package so it could'nt be in the package.

PS: The beta package is'nt called "toendaCMS 2", it's called (take a look at the roadmap) "toendaCMS 1.9.9". The "2" in the name appends when its development cycle finishes.
